The group of Oktoberfest beers for the style tasting ! |
|
Oktober 15th, 2002 was an Oktoberfest style tasting held at Clay Ferguson's house. There were many Oktoberfest beers on hand with 5 members and 1 CHOA member doing the tasting and judging. Clay provided chips and pretzels and Marlond provided Pizza for all to be consumed after the tasting (and it was !) There was about a dozen beers judged with the Paulaner taking a first place win. Gary Cathey's Crimson Oktoberfest was voted second with the Spaten taking the third place votes. The beers that were tasted and judged are listed below in the correct voting order. Then everyone left the room but Beth from the CHOA club. She picked a beer from the batch and everyone re-entered. Everyone guessed which beer Beth had picked. Tony was the winner by picking the Sam Adams Oktoberfest. Overall it was an very enjoyable evening. Thanks Clay for putting up with us again ! |
