Ready  for the meeting to begin  !

Lot of different chats during the evening !

The July meeting was again held at the Fox and Hound on North Tryon St. There was a good crowd on hand with a few new members and guests attending. A good business meeting and then some very good beers were tasted by everyone. Next month will be a Belgian Beer Tasting during the meeting so plan to attend.

Clay Ferguson

Hoge Ronemus

In 1994, Clay's roommate in college introduced him to Mr. Beer and this got his spark for brewing started. He now does extract / partial mash brews with Ambers and ESB's being his favorite style to brew. He has tried all grain a couple times and been to many brew sessions that were all grain so we will see when he makes the switch. He found out about CBM at Alternative Beverage and joined in 1998. His favorite commercial brews are Sweetwater 420 and Fullers ESB and he feels that Duckworths Cheesesteakery is the best beer place in Charlotte and he is a Cad Drafter by trade.

Hoge, is a Highland Brewing rep in this area and has not really brewed before but is looking to make the plunge soon. His passion for beer and wanting to learn more about the brewing process is what has brought him into brewing. He joined CBM at the July meeting and is looking to attend a brew session or two and begin his own brewing sessions. He found out about CBM at the Total Wine tasting event and his favorite commercial beers are all Highland Brewing's beers. Now, imagine that ! He feels the best brew place in Charlotte is the Flying Saucer

Welcome Hoge !
