Carolina Brewmasters night out at the Hockey Game !
The Carolina Brewmasters had a night out at the Hockey Game on March 24th. The seats were magnificent ! Thanks to Tony Profera for the great seats. The Florida Everglades challenged our Charlotte Checkers but the Checkers were no match for the Everglades. Florida dominated and won by a score of 7 to 2 but it was still a very enjoyable night for all (except the Checker players ). There were several fights on the ice tha tgot a rise out of the crowd but it was an overall dominance by the Everglades over the Checkers. Our own John Oshman was picked to make a big slingshot ride on the ice and knock down some Bojangles boxes. He was held back in the slingshot and the crowd counted down 5 - 4 -3 -2 -1 and the slide began. Just before arriving at the boxes Osh jumped forward and knocked them down and then plowed into the wall going head first. There were no injuries and he came out a winner and the crowd really loved it. The officials said this was the first "head first" encounter that had ever taken place. There was talk about making this an annual event so look forward to next year. If you were not there you missed a great evening.
