1999 - 1st Annual Oktoberfest
The 1999 Oktoberfest was the founding festival and
was organized by the now defunct Johnson Brewery and the Carolina
Brewmasters. Bruno was the top dog in the organization and setup of the
fest. It was held at Independence Park with about 500 people attending
and about 12 breweries on hand. The charity event gave $200 to the Parks
and Rec. Was a good beginning to the Charlotte Oktoberfest.

2000 - 2nd Annual Oktoberfest
The 2000 Oktoberfest was again held at the
Independence Park and Bruno was again the head man. A little improvement
made for approximately 700 people to come and see the beers available
from the 15 breweries on hand. The Parks and Rec. was again the charity
and received $500.

| The 2001 Oktoberfest was held October 13th in the parking lot of
South End Brewery on South Blvd.. It was a very good
event with a big crowd of people throughout the day. We
had many great Breweries to come and provide their product for
everyone to taste and see what new beers are now available. We also
had three bands to set up during the day and play some oldies, Blues, Country, Bluegrass and German music. Overall it was a
fantastic
day at the Carolina Brewmasters 3rd annual Oktoberfest. |
The 2002 Oktoberfest was held October 5th. It was a very good
event with a big crowd of people throughout the day. We
had many great Breweries to come and provide their product for
everyone to taste and see what new beers are now available. This was
held in conjunction with the Art and Soul festival located on Camden
Rd.

| The 2003 Oktoberfest was held October 11th. It was a very great
event with a huge crowd of people throughout the day. We
had so many great Breweries to come and provide their product for
everyone to taste and see what great beers are now available. This was
held in conjunction with the Rheinland Haus restaurant Oktoberfest and
we also made a donation to the Red Cross with the proceeds from this
event. It was the largest Oktoberfest we have ever held with people
being turned away because of a packed haus.

| The Oktoberfest 2005 was held again in
the NoDa district on October 1st with a huge crowd on hand. We finally had to shut
the gates due to such a large crowd. Was an amazing festival
with many breweries on hand with their great beers for
everyone's pleasure. A big portion of the proceeds went to the National
Multiple Sclerosis Society. |
