Welcome to the Carolina BrewMasters Website

Big Brew was a big success. It was crowded most of the day with good food, lots of homebrew, and lots of talk about how to homebrew. Jess did a great job of getting this put together !  Here are some pic's of the days activities.

Adam Strange

In 1995, David's brother-in-law introduced him to homebrewing and over the years he wanted to try his skills at making his own. Finally in 2007 he jumped right in and has been brewing ever since. He is an all grain brewer but does an occasional extra batch as well. He really like to brew the Belgain Abby Ales since LaTrappe is his favorite commercial style. He also has a rough job that takes him to Dusseldorf,  Germany where he spends his evenings sitting in local pubs and enjoys their famous Altbiers. What a job !

Adam the Strange, as he is called by some of his friends, got into brewing when his wife went away and he had lots of free time. He has been into brewing about 6 weeks and has done 2 extract batches. He gets his ingredients from Alternative Beverage and this is where he found out about the Carolina Brewmasters and joined. This was the first meeting he has attended. He has also planted 6 Rizomes of Cascade hops and will soon have his homegrown hops for his coming batches. His favorite commercial beers are IPA's.

Welcome Adam !
